Princeton ExB Workshop 2018

Getting to Princeton

The closest major airport to Princeton is Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR). Some domestic flights operated by Frontier do fly into the more local Trenton-Mercer Airport (TTN). Other nearby major airports include New York John F. Kennedy (JFK) and New York LaGuadia (LGA) airports. Philadelphia's main airport (PHL) is similarly close to campus.

Ride-sharing services such as Lyft and Uber are able to transport you from any major airport to the Princeton area (>$50 from EWR, >$100 from LGA, JFK or PHL). Taxis are also available.

The Princeton area is accessible via public transport from New York and Philadelphia. While there are options for buses and shuttles to Princeton, the best public transport option is via New Jersey Transit

From Newark airport, the train station can be accessed via the air-train from any of the terminals. Trains run every 30-60 minutes from Newark airport to Princeton Junction and cost around $20 per person one way. From Princeton Junction you can take the shuttle bus onto main campus, although if you wish to travel directly to the hotel it is easier to take a Lyft, Uber or Taxi directly (>$10).

Note that if you wish to go all the way into Princeton on the shuttle bus, be sure to purchase a ticket to PRINCETON, not PRINCETON JUNCTION. The Princeton ticket will include the cost of the shuttle.

From Trenton-Mercer you will need to take a Lyft, Uber or Taxi directly to the University or the Hotel (>$20).

From JFK or LGA, take local transport (New York Subway, buses or Long Island Railroad) to New York Penn station and then take New Jersey Transit to Princeton Junction or Princeton.

From PHL you must use the local SEPTA transit system to get to Trenton Transit Center. From there you can change to New Jersey Transit to get to Princeton Junction or Princeton (however Trenton is not far so you could also affordably take a Lyft, Uber or Taxi from here, >$20).
