On day one (Thursday the 1st of November) workshop presentations and meetings will be held in the Melvin B. Gottlieb auditorium located at the Department of Energy’s Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory (PPPL). The auditorium is directly to the left as you enter PPPL from the main entrance.

On day two (Friday the 2nd of November) workshop presentations and meetings will be held in the Friend Center Convocation Room on Princeton University’s main campus. The Convocation Room is directly to the right as you enter the Friend Center from Olden St.

A banquet dinner will be held on Thursday the 1st of November at Prospect House on the Princeton University main campus. We ask that guests please prepay the banquet fee prior to arrival at the workshop. Options will be available for vegetarian diners.

Prospect House Address: off Washington Rd, Princeton, NJ 08544

Prospect House is located near the center of main campus, off the street. It is to the South-East of the Princeton Art Gallery and North-West of the Frist Campus center. Entrance to the building is from the North, on the opposite side of the gardens. Although we will likely all travel from PPPL to the banquet together, if you decide to make your own way there please see the map below in Local Directions & Transport.

To access the PPPL site on day one of the workshop, you will need to check in with the security booth. The security guard will have a list of all attendees for the workshop. You will need to show a suitable form of identification, a US driver's license is appropriate, however foreigners will require a passport.

Note that if you take a ride-sharing service or Taxi to PPPL the driver will need to stop at the main gate, where you will check in with security. From here you may be asked to walk to the main entrance.

If you are driving from the hotel, please refer to the following map for a general guide to the Princeton area. If you are driving to PPPL please see the section below regarding site access. There is abundant free parking at the PPPL site. If you are driving to Friend Center, parking is somewhat limited, there is some paid street parking on Olden St. More street parking is available on Prospect Ave. Parking meters only accept quarters and inspections occur frequently.

Public transportation options around Princeton are somewhat limited. Ride-share services such as Lyft and Uber are available and frequent in the Princeton area. Taxis are also available.

If you are traveling from the Princeton campus to PPPL (or visa-versa), there is a shuttle bus which runs every hour from various locations on campus to PPPL. The shuttle is free to ride, the schedule is located here
